Richard A. Davis Endowment Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving

Simsbury Land Trust has been fortunate to have extraordinary community support, generous members, a wonderful board and a dedicated group of stewardship volunteers. With your help we have permanently protected 1123 acres.

Protecting the property is just the first step; taking care of the property is our responsibility forever. As the number of acres we protect increases so does the amount of time and money necessary to care for it. How do we insure that the SLT is able to care for the property for the long term?

Simsbury Land Trust established an endowment fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Donations to this fund remain permanently at the HFPG, but the income from the endowment fund will provide a much needed source of funds for the future needs of the SLT.

Today we are asking you to consider helping us build our endowment by making a gift to the SLT Richard A. Davis Endowment Fund. This will ensure a permanent source of funds to care for the properties we worked so hard to protect. Unlike other contributions to the SLT, this donation must be made directly to the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

Permanent protection of this open space is our continuing responsibility. I know you feel about this as we do, that we all must do our part to ensure that these beautiful spaces are taken care of for generations to come. Please consider making a donation to the fund today.
