Simsbury Land Trust Hiking Club Hike

9:00 AM. • Meeting Place: Parking Area, Dismal Brook Preserve, 253 Loomis St., North Granby CT.

This 3 mile hike has moderate terrain and some moderate slopes crossing a variety of habitats. After a short loop trail through damp woods, we will head to several trails that together create a longer loop, with an out and back visit to the pond. We will avoid the steepest segment of the yellow trail. We will use two easier trails running across the face of the slope. After visiting the pond, we will return to the starting point. Boots are recommended. Bring water and bug repellent. Hiking poles might be useful.
