Hiking Club Hike to Canton Land Trust Swan Preserve

9:30 a.m. • Meet at the Swan Preserve parking area on Case Street in Canton, see directions below.

Rescheduled from March, the hike will be at the Canton Land Conservation Trust’s Swan Preserve.

The preserve is on Case Street in Canton. To get there from Simsbury, take Route 309 west (West Street, Farms Village Road, Westledge Road, North Canton Road) until it ends at Route 179, Cherry Brook Road. Turn right, northbound, onto 179. Very shortly, Case Street will branch off on the right by the white church.

An Important Note: The good folks at that church, North Canton Community United Methodist Church, have said we may use their parking lot that morning, rather than relying on the small, perhaps muddy, lot at the trailhead. It is a very short walk from the church parking lot to the trailhead. The driveway into the parking lot is immediately before the church building, between it and the adjacent historic school building.
