Simsbury Land Trust Hiking Club Hike

9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. • Location: Holcomb Farm, 111 Simsbury Road, West Granby Park in the large parking lot beside the buildings.

We will hike up the farm road and across an open field with a great view and then head into the woods. The trails loop around through the wooded part of the farm property and emerge into more fields offering another nice view. The entire walk is easy with a few moderate sections. There are a couple of uphill stretches and some patches of roots and rocks. For the most part, the footing is good. The distance is no more than 4 miles and will take under 2 hours. Various connected loops enable a shorter or longer hike of 4 miles or less.

Wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring drinking water. If there has been recent rain, it might be muddy. You will want bug repellent for protection against ticks and insects.
