Simsbury Land Trust Hiking Club Hike

We are canceling our December 13 hike planned for the Roaring Brook Nature Center's trails.

We looked at the trails Friday morning and found that the cycle of partial thawing and refreezing had left the path with more ice than we thought would be safe for our group.  (Young, agile folks with cleats on their boots, maybe, but not our usual team). Not a surprise for mid-December, but a disappointment, nonetheless.

We hope to see you in January and wish you the best of holidays in the meantime.
