Special 50th Anniversary Edition to Receive a Throwback SLT Hat!
As we celebrate Simsbury Land Trust’s 50th anniversary, we invite you to get outside, explore, and enjoy the beautiful places that our community has worked so hard to protect. Whether you are taking on the 12-Hike Challenge for the first time or revisiting your favorite trails in honor of this milestone year, we are excited to have you join us in appreciating the conservation lands that make Simsbury so special. With more than 28 trails in the Simsbury Walkbook, you will find everything from short, easy walks to longer, more challenging hikes. There truly is something for everyone, right in your own backyard.
- Sign up for the 12-Hike Challenge at www.simsburylandtrust.org.
- Renew or start your membership. Memberships begin at $50, and gifts of any amount are appreciated. While membership is not required to participate, it directly supports land acquisition, trail maintenance, and the Walkbook that makes these adventures possible.
- Track your hikes. Record the date and location of each hike or walk. Any distance counts, and SLT-sponsored hikes, wherever they take place, count toward your 12. (Please follow posted trail rules, stay on marked paths, carry out all trash, and be considerate of neighbors when parking.)
- Complete the challenge by filling out the SLT 12-Hike Challenge Completion Form on our website. When you are finished, you will receive a free throwback SLT baseball cap featuring the original SLT logo.
