10:00 a.m. \u2022 Location:Pinchot Sycamore Tree Park, near the corner of Nodd Rd. and Hartford Rd., Simsbury<\/h3>\n<\/section>\n

Please join us for a guided walk of the Pinchot Sycamore Tree Park given by Bruce Powell, caretaker of this tree for 41years. He will cover information about the species, why it looks the way it does, and the history of this 400 year old tree. Participants will be able to compare it to another nearby sycamore and hear what shaped the similarities and differences between them. In addition, Bruce will perform his annual tree measurement and give some background information on who this iconic Simsbury tree was named for and why. We look forward to seeing you there. Please register in advance so we know how many participants to expect.<\/p>\n
